Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

Best-selling writer for children and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an review of claims about questionable actions involving female individuals.

The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.

He has published more than 40 books altogether, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
